The Nan Williams Conservation Area: Management Plan for a Property in Rowe, Massachusetts
The Nan Williams Conservation Area is a property in Rowe, Massachusetts that was acquired by the Franklin Land Trust in 2018. Conservation values on the property include unusual bedrock with a variety of minerals present, impressive rock formations, mature forest, unique vegetation, and endangered species habitat–the majority of the property is classified as “priority habitat” by the Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program. I am conducting vegetation and wildlife surveys on the property, writing a management plan, and producing an illustrated booklet about unique plant life on the land.
