Population dynamics and restoration ecology of anadromous river herring

My research interests include designing effective sampling protocols and understanding factors that limit growth and survival of juvenile river herring in lakes, rivers, and estuaries. Additionally, I investigate how these demographic rates and stock-recruitment relationships vary year to year across multiple systems and explore the effect of restoring river connectivity (e.g. dam removal, fish passage structures) on river herring production.
