At the recent PLANET Student Career Days competition at Auburn University, Ethan D’Angelo and Luke Longstreeth, students in the Urban Forestry and Arboriculture concentration, placed first in the Arboriculture competition (among over 70 teams). Ethan and Luke competed in the work climb and throwline events, respectively, and attained enough points to easily surpass their nearest competition. Ethan has competed in two previous PLANET competitions, but this was Luke’s first time. Prof. Ryan attended the competition, noting, “Ethan and Luke did a great job in the events, they’re both excellent climbers.”
