Joseph S. LarsonJoseph S. Larson, professor emeritus of Environmental Conservation, has been reappointed by Gov. Deval Patrick to a five-year term as a member of the state Fisheries and Wildlife Board. The Board has policy, regulatory and personnel authority for the state Division of Fisheries and Wildlife.

The board has oversight for rare and endangered species. Concurrent with the board appointment he also serves as a member of the state Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Scientific Advisory Committee.

Larson, along with Brandi Van Roo of Framingham State University and lawyer John F. Creedon of Brockton, were sworn in by Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Murray on June 10 at a ceremony in Westborough.
