Congratulations to our Family Forest Research Team for hosting a major international conference at UMass!

Over 80 participants from 18 countries will be convening on campus Sept 24-27 for the  the International Union of Forest Research Organizations Small-scale Forestry working group 2012 conference.  Thanks to the hard work of our Family Forest Research Team, the conference will feature 64 talks ranging from “Economic and Behavioral Factors Motivating Private Afforestation Decisions in Ireland” to “Influence of the Household and Farm Attributes on Management Adoption of Smallholder Timber Production Systems in Gunungkidul Region, Indonesia”. Pre- and post-conference workshops have also been organized to complement this major international gathering.
