Research in ECo: Regional Invasive Species & Climate Change Management Challenges: a warning to avoid selling ornamental invasive plants that could assist climate change.
Let's give a shout out to ECo alumnus Alex Sherman, City Forester for Springfield, along with Dave Bloniarz and Rick Harper for their partnership with ReGreen Springfield.
ECo postdoctoral associate Luke Griffin shared his work on the migration of Atlantic tarpon as one of six speakers invited to FishBase 2023 in Sweden, an international symposium on fish tracking.
Eastern red bat (Lasiurus borealis) spotted in downtown Louisville during the TWS 2023 conference. As a "tree bat", this species is widely distributed across North America and are actually well camouflaged despite their reddish color. They are often mistaken for dead leave or pine cones as they blend in with the foliage of deciduous trees. Spotted by NRC student, Vera Bobskill! #tws2023 #easternredbat
