Arboriculture students place 2nd in competition

A team of Stockbridge students recently went to Georgia for the PLANET Student Career Days, sponsored by the Professional Landcare Network. They were new to this competition, but that didn’t hinder them from making a great showing: placing second out of 41 teams in the arboriculture event.  Dan Cohen and Chris Pineau, juniors in the Urban and Community Forestry program participated in the arboriculture competition. Pineau, who placed second in the tree climbing event, had the following comments: "The PLANET competition was great place to send student for a variety of experiences that would not occur on campus. The opportunities were pretty much endless from meeting new folks to getting jobs or just explore a different part of the country. I introduced my self to several employers and interviewed with one company. It was also great to see how well our professors have educated/trained us, it was really obvious during the competition."
