Project abstract:

I am looking at the movement and habitat use patterns of Striped Bass in the Plum Island Estuary on the north shore of Massachusetts. Striped bass migrate to this estuary in the spring and early summer to feed through the fall, before returning to wintering grounds in the Chesapeake, Hudson and Delaware Bay watersheds. I am interested in how their foraging and movement patterns change over time and space in this highly dynamic system. I plan to use acoustic telemetry, both passive and mobile, to track their movements in the estuary
