Comprehensive Conservation Planning for National Wildlife Refuges

Internship: 

Internship in Refuge Planning at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Hadley, MA.

Project Abstract:

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is currently writing Comprehensive Conservation Plans for the over 550 National Wildlife Refuges. Comprehensive Conservation Plans provide guidance for all aspects of refuge management, from wildlife habitat management and refuge administration to public use and conservation partnerships. Throughout my internship, I will be assisting with writing and editing plans, as well as with public outreach. For my project, I will be evaluating the implementation of our plans and developing guidelines to monitor our progress toward plan objectives.
