Conservation Communication and Education in Aquatic Systems
Education Internship at the South Carolina Aquarium, Charleston. Fall 2008.
The South Carolina Aquarium uniquely features exhibits and information about state-wide fresh water and marine ecosystems and organisms –“From the Mountains to the Sea.” My role is to conduct South Carolina science standards-based education sessions for K-8 school groups; lead general public education programs within the aquarium; edit the Volunteer Training Manual; and, research certain species’ fishery status for the South Carolina Aquarium Sustainable Seafood Initiative.
